Candidates for admission must have graduated from an accredited high school or have earned an equivalency certificate based on GED tests. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of high school courses, grades, extracurricular activities, SAT or ACT tests scores and recommendation letters.
High school work should normally include four (4) units of English, three (3) units of mathematics (preferred courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II or advanced math courses), two (2) units of history or government, two (2) units of science, and two (2) units of foreign language.
Home Schooled Students
Richard Bland College believes that home schooled students can provide another level of the experiential diversity that we strive for when selecting our entering class. In addition to the application for admission, home schooled students should fill out the Supplemental Home School Education Form located in the application. International Students
In addition to the admission requirements listed above, international students must also have achieved a minimum score of 500 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to be considered for admission.
