Information for Banner INB (Administrative Users)
• Password parameters for Banner INB
• Your password must be at least 7 digits and cannot be your login
• Your password must be alpha-numeric and include at least 1 digit
• Your password must contain at least one uppercase letter
• After 5 login attempts your account will be locked. You will need to contact
BannerHelp to have it reset.
• You should change your password every 30 days. After 30 days you will be
prompted to change your password. If you do not change your password within
14 days of the message your Banner account will be locked.
• You cannot reuse the last 6 passwords
• If you are not actively working in the database please save any work and logout.
If your account is inactive for 30 minutes, you will be disconnected. Please
remember to save your work as you go. If you are disconnected any unsaved
work will be lost.
• Before you can access Banner INB, you must have the Java Plug-in (JPI) installed
on your PC:

• If you will be using any type of third party software tool (like Evisions, MS Access or
Excel) then you will also need to have Oracle Client installed on your PC
(email
helpdesk@rbc.edu to schedule). You will also need to have a current copy
of tnsnames.ora.
