All current members and interested others are welcome to attend this membership meeting. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

The RBC Friends of the Library offers a wide variety of programs and services to enhance life in the RBC community. This academic year, under the leadership of RBC faculty members Margo Sommer and Dannie Hudson, these have included:

• Co-sponsoring the outdoor mid-day concert by Susan Greenbaum on October 18
• Sponsoring the current semester RBC Student Research Paper Awards
• Sponsoring the upcoming author presentation on March 26 by Jeff Abugel about his new book: "Edgar Allan Poe's Petersburg: The Untold Story of the Raven in the Cockade City"
• Contributing to the RBC Library’s book purchasing budget
• Picking up trash along Johnson Road as part of the "Adopt A Highway" program

Our agenda topics for this meeting will include fundraising and membership promotion ideas for the current year and soliciting program ideas for the year ahead.

Interested in joining? Membership forms for the 2012-2013 year are available online. Student membership is free and non-student memberships are available at $20 per year and above. All membership funds are used for programs like those described above or for enhancing the RBC Library.
