Richard Bland College is committed to providing a campus environment that is free from sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination and retaliation where people understand their responsibilities to help prevent sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, stalking, and dating and domestic violence. Because we are all responsible for the safety of our community, the College provides faculty, staff, and students with valuable education and resources through an online course, Sexual Violence Awareness & Prevention: A Title IX Training for Students and Staff. Students and staff receive in-person training and complete online training module when they enter the College.
The web-based course for faculty, staff, and students educates participants about sexual violence awareness and prevention. Topics such as sex discrimination, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking are covered.
New faculty, staff, and students will receive an email sent to their RBC email address with a link to access the course, and are expected to complete the course within 30 days of starting at the College. The course takes about 15 minutes to complete and can be accessed from any computer or tablet connected to the internet. The course works best using Chrome.
For any issues accessing or completing the course, please contact the IT Support Center at (804) 862-6402 or STAC@rbc.edu. For questions about the content of the course, please contact the Title IX Coordinator at titleix@rbc.edu.
