RBC Resumes Spring Semester Through Remote Instruction
Following an extended spring break, Richard Bland College of William & Mary will resume its spring semester through remote instruction (online) on Monday, March 23. Remote instruction will continue for the remainder of the semester.
The College had previously extended spring break by one week (through March 20) to review options and allow its faculty and academic support teams to prepare for a possible transition to remote instruction. With the decision now made to move academic courses and programs online, students will be able to complete their spring semester coursework on schedule.
The College has re-opened residence halls and will provide dining and other services for students who choose to remain on campus.
“Richard Bland College is committed to the health and safety of our campus community, and to the ongoing education of our students,” says President Debbie Sydow. “Our dedicated faculty and academic support staff are going to great lengths to ensure that student learning outcomes are achieved, even in this topsy-turvy environment.”
Effective Monday, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), canceled all spring competition, practices, postseason and championship play, which ends the RBC softball and women’s beach volleyball seasons.
Richard Bland College remains open, and operations will continue with appropriate measures taken to protect the health of its community.
