RBC Keeps Tuition Affordable

The William & Mary Board of Visitors has unanimously voted not to increase tuition rates for in-state students enrolling at Richard Bland College. This is the second straight year that the board has voted not to raise tuition, making RBC’s tuition one of the lowest in Virginia for the 2020-21 academic year.

In-state commuter students enrolled in 15 credits per semester will pay $8,100 for the 2020-21 academic year in tuition and mandatory fees. Out-of-state (domestic) tuition and fees are $13,890 annually. Out-of-state (international) tuition and fees, plus housing, will remain level at $31,849. Additionally, the Board has approved a lower online-only rate of just $199 per credit.

President Debbie L. Sydow says, “As students and families grow increasingly concerned about the high price of a college degree, particularly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, RBC is committed to maintaining its long-standing mission of offering a top-notch education without undue financial burden.”

Richard Bland College has received $410,367 in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding for students suffering hardships during the pandemic. Students with financial aid questions can call 804-862-6260.
