Richard Bland College Announces Awards of Distinction Recipients

The Richard Bland College Foundation is proud to announce that three distinguished members of the Richard Bland family, Felicity V. Morris (Class of 2008), Jennifer McGrew (Class of 2000), and the Talley family are recipients of the 2019 Awards of Distinction. Morris was presented with the Young Alumni Award, McGrew with the Distinguished Alumni Award, and the Talley family with the Richard Bland Award.

Richard Bland College announces Transformative Partnership with VSU

Richard Bland College of William & Mary has announced, in conjunction with Virginia State University, the TROJAN-ALLIANCE Program, a new partnership that offers an opportunity for students to earn their four-year degree from VSU after completing their associate degree at RBC. The Program will create a seamless transition and guaranteed admission into VSU for those who qualify.

Pecan Harvest Begins at Richard Bland College of William & Mary

The annual pecan harvest at Richard Bland College of William & Mary will begin on Wednesday, November 6, and continue through Friday, November 22, from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. During this time, the community is welcome to visit the grove and gather pecans, but safety requires that visitors steer clear of active harvest sites.

The boost in enrollment includes a record number of honor students, international students and student-athletes.

Academic Scholars On the Rise at Richard Bland College of William & Mary

Richard Bland College students earning a 3.8 grade point average (GPA) and above is up 15% for the 2019 spring semester. That increase placed eighty-four students on the President’s List. An additional 129 students rated Dean’s List status with a 3.25 to 3.79 GPA. All students are required to carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to earn academic distinction.

Richard Bland College Announces Increase in Honor Society Inductees

A record 66 students from Richard Bland College of William & Mary were recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society for academic achievement, joining 34 previous RBC students in the organization. Students earning a 3.5 grade point average or higher during the academic year are eligible for membership into the Alpha Beta Omicron Chapter of PTK, which specifically honors Richard Bland students.

Surge In Academic Accomplishment at Richard Bland College

Richard Bland College of William & Mary is pleased to announce an increase in students achieving a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 and above for the 2018 fall semester. The College saw an overall 15% rise in students achieving a 3.25 GPA for the fall semester as compared to the previous semester. President’s List students rose 26% for the same time period, and Dean’s List students improved by 9%.
