Voicemail Access

Internal Phone

 

Access your voicemail from your phone:

 

  1. Dial *99 or press the Msgs soft key.
  2. Dial your password (default 0000).

 

Access your voicemail from someone else’s phone:

 

  1. Dial *98.
  2. Dial your extension.
  3. Dial your password (default 0000).

 

Access someone else’s voicemail from your phone:

 

  1. Dial *98.
  2. Dial the extension.
  3. Dial the password (default 0000).

 

Remote Phone

 

Access your voicemail from outside of the system:

 

  1. Call your office extension.
  2. Press * when you hear the voicemail prompt begin.
  3. Dial your password (default 0000).

 

 

Voicemail Greeting

Greeting Types

 

  • Unavailable Message: This is the default greeting used for your voicemail.
  • Temporary Message: When recorded, this message will over-ride any other voicemail greetings you have recorded. In order to remove a temporary greeting it must be deleted.
  • Busy Message: This greeting is not used by default, but can be configured for use in a dial plan.

 

Change Voicemail Greeting

 

  1. Access your voicemail.
  2. Press 0 for Mailbox Options.
  3. Record the desired message:
    • Press 1 to record your Unavailable Message.
    • Press 2 to record your Busy Message.
    • Press 3 to record your Name.
    • Press 4 to record your Temporary Message.

 

Delete a Temporary Greeting

 

  1. Access your voicemail.
  2. Press 0 for Mailbox Options.
  3. Press 4 for Temporary Message.
  4. Press 2 to delete your Temporary Message.

 

 

Answer Another Ringing Extension

To perform a directed line pickup:

  1. Dial *97.
  2. Dial the extension that is currently ringing.

 

 

Call Parking

Allows you to place a call on hold, so it can be retrieved by another extension. Parking spots (where the call resides) can either be assigned by you or the system. There are an unlimited number of parking spots available.

 

Park a Call

 

User-Defined Parking Spot

 

  1. Blind transfer to *37 + parking spot number (any number of digits, but cannot start with 0.)
    Example: To park a call in spot 1, blind transfer the call to *371. To Park a call in spot 15, blind transfer the call to *3715.

 

Note: If you attempt to park a call in a parking spot that is currently in use,the call that is currently occupying that spot will be picked up and your call will be placed in that parking spot.

 

System-Defined Parking Spot

 

  1. Warm transfer to *37 (do not blind transfer or the system won’t tell you where the call is parked).
  2. The system will notify you where the call is parked.
  3. Complete the transfer.
  4. Dial *37.
  5. Enter the parking spot number.

 

Pick Up a Parked Call

 

1. Dial *37.
2. Enter the parking spot number.

 

 

Call Forwarding

You can configure your phone so that all incoming calls are forwarded to another party (known as static forwarding).

All incoming calls can be forwarded to another party while Do Not Disturb is enabled on your phone. For more information, contact your system administrator.

 

Static Forwarding

 

To enable call forwarding to another party:

 

  1. Press Menu and select Features > Forward.
  2. (Optional) If multiple lines are configured on your phone, select the line to forward from the list using Up Arrow and Down Arrow.
  3. Using Up Arrow and Down Arrow, select the forwarding type you want to change and then press Checkmark. The options are:
    • Always – For all incoming calls
    • No Answer – Once all options to accept calls have been taken
    • Busy – When you are already in a call
  4. Depending on your selection:
    • If you select Always, enter a number to forward all future incoming calls to.
    • If you select No Answer, enter a number to forward all unanswered incoming calls to and how many rings to wait before forwarding (one ring is approximately six seconds). A value of 2 is recommended.
    • If you select Busy, enter a number to forward all future incoming calls to when you are already in another call.
  5. Select the Enable soft key to confirm call forwarding.
    Select the Exit soft key to cancel any changes.
    The idle display returns with a moving arrow as the line label to confirm call forwarding is enabled.

 

To disable call forwarding:

 

  1. Press Menu and select Features > Forward.
  2. (Optional) If multiple lines are configured on your phone, select the line to forward from the list using Up Arrow and Down Arrow.
  3. Using Up Arrow and Down Arrow, select the forwarding type you want to change and then press the Select soft key.
  4. Press the Disable soft key to turn off call forwarding.
    The idle display returns and the regular icon appears as the line indicator.

 

 

Call Transfer

Warm Transfer

 

When you transfer a call to another line, you have the option to talk to the person before the transfer completes.

 

To perform a warm transfer:

 

  1. During a call, press Trans soft key.
    The active call is placed on hold.
  2. Do one of the following steps:
    • Enter the number to which you want to transfer the call. A warm transfer is assumed.
    • Press the Normal soft key to access the local contact directory, corporate directory, or received callers list. Then choose either the Dir or Callers soft key. Choose the number to which you want to transfer the call.
  3. As soon as the ring-back sound is heard or after the party answers, press Trans soft key to complete the transfer. You can talk privately to the party to which you are transferring the call before the transfer is completed. If you are using a handset, the transfer can be completed by putting the handset on the cradle.You can cancel the transfer before the call connects by pressing the Cancel soft key.

 

Blind Transfer

 

With a blind transfer, you can automatically transfer a call without talking to the other person. The call is automatically transferred after you dial the number you’re transferring the call to.

 

To perform a blind transfer:

 

  1. During a call, press the Trans soft key.
  2. Press the Blind soft key.
  3. Do one of the following steps:
    • Enter the number to which you want to transfer the call.
    • Press the Dir soft key to access the local contact directory, use Up Arrow and Down Arrow to access the contacts, and then press Dial.
    • Press the Dir soft key to access the corporate directory, search for the desired contact, and then press Dial.
    • Press the Callers soft key to access the Received Call list, use Up Arrow and Down Arrow to access the contact, and then press Dial.
    • Press to access the Placed Call list, use and to access the contact, and then press Checkmark.

At this point, the call is connected to the number to which you are transferring them.

 

 

Do Not Disturb

Press Menu and then select Features > Do not disturb to prevent the phone from ringing on incoming calls. A flashing icon and text on the graphic display indicates that Do Not Disturb is on.

Calls received while Do Not Disturb is enabled are logged in the Missed Calls list unless configured to be forwarded to another party by your system administrator.

To disable Do Not Disturb, press Menu and then select Features > Do not disturb again.

 

 

Three-Way Conferencing

You can create a conference with other parties using the phone’s local conference feature.

 

To set up a conference:

 

  1. Call the first party.
  2. Press Conf soft key to create a new call.
    The active call is placed on hold.
  3. Call the second party.
  4. When the second party answers, press the Conf soft key again to join all parties in the conference.

 

To set up a conference call using the Join soft key:

 

When you are in an active call:

  1. If you have one call on hold (on the same line or other line), use Down Arrow to go to the call on hold, then press the Join soft key.
    A conference is created with the active call, the call on hold and yourself.
  2. If you have more than one call on hold, use Up Arrow and Down Arrow to switch to the desired call on hold, press the Join soft key.
    A conference is created with active call, the call on hold and yourself.
