Richard Bland College of William & Mary is the only two-year residential college in Virginia. The residence halls were built in 2008 and offer apartment-style living with state-of-the-art amenities. Students are able to live and eat affordably starting at just $9,840 per year ranging up to $11,640 per year depending on their room assignment.

RBC Beach Volleyball Named NJCAA Runner-Ups

The Richard Bland College of William & Mary (RBC) women’s beach volleyball team made a dominant run in the 2024 NJCAA Division II National Tournament set in Huntsville, Alabama. Unfortunately, they fell to the 2023 national champion Palm Beach State College in the championship match, 3-0.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our team,” RBC Director of Student Life and Athletics Scott Newton said. “Throughout the national tournament and during the regular season, they played with heart and were incredible competitors.”

Leading up to the championship round, the Lady Statesman defeated Sandhills Community College, 4-0 and State College of Florida, 4-1 in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.

The team repeated as NJCAA Division II Region 10 Champions and RBC’s Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter were named the Region 10 Pair of the Year.

Last season, the inaugural year of the national tournament, the Lady Statesman finished fifth overall.
