The Richard Bland College campus safety and police department recently earned the heralded FBI-LEEDA (Law Enforcement Executive Development Association) Agency Trilogy Award. This recognition is awarded to law enforcement departments whose entire command staff has successfully completed the program’s Trilogy Leadership Series. The agency is dedicated to advancing law enforcement leadership among small to mid-sized departments across the United States and beyond.

“I am so proud of my staff for receiving the prestigious FBI-LEEDA Agency Trilogy Award,” said Thomas Travis, RBC Director of Campus Safety & Chief of Police. “It’s a testament to our dedication to leadership excellence.”

In early March, the campus safety and police department completed the program’s comprehensive Trilogy series, which consisted of supervisor, command and executive leadership Institutes. The department gained valuable insights and leadership strategies from the courses. In fact, they have already begun to integrate their new knowledge and skills into the department’s daily operations, enabling the unit to work more effectively and efficiently to achieve its mission of keeping every member of the campus safe and secure.

“Richard Bland College continues to maintain the highest standards of campus safety, and this FBI-LEEDA Agency Trilogy Award is just the latest accolade for a team that is committed to the highest levels of excellence in all aspects of operation,” RBC President Dr. Debbie Sydow said.
