Richard Bland College Announces Increase In Outstanding Scholars
Richard Bland College of William & Mary is pleased to announce a 67% increase in the number of students achieving a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 and above for the 2016 Spring semester. “Richard Bland College is committed to increasing student success, so it’s gratifying to see the number of students with high GPA’s continue to rise,” said President Debbie L. Sydow. “The rise in high-performing students is a reflection of new programs that are designed to provide wrap-around support and keep students on track to graduate and transfer to top colleges like William & Mary.”
This follows a 42% increase in enrollment for 2015/16 and a 163% increase in Honors students with an average 3.82 GPA. Recently 24 new students were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.
Sixty-seven students at Richard Bland College of William & Mary achieved a grade point average of 3.8 or above during the 2016 Spring semester to merit placement on the President’s List. An additional 111 students rated Dean’s List status with a grade point average of 3.25 or better while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours as full-time students.
