Scott Farnham
Business & Operations ManagerBio:
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Scott graduated from Chesterfield County Public Schools (1993) and entered Richard Bland College, where he earned an Associate of Science (1996). He then went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University (1999), and Master of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University (2005), with concentrations in Nutritional Ecology & Entomological Toxicology. In 2007, Scott completed his graduate education with an MBA from Averett University, in Danville, Virginia.
Scott was fortunate to work for over 15 years within the life sciences, at the bench and later within upper management. In 2012, he entered the public sector and worked for over 8 years as the Quality Manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Animal Health Laboratories. Under Scott’s leadership, Virginia was reinstated into the National Animal Health Laboratory Network and earned ISO 17025 accreditation at each laboratory. The Commonwealth had five stand-alone labs, and earning accreditation was an enormous achievement for the lab system.
In addition to science and management, Scott has an interest in real estate, and is a student of responsible land management. He has been a licensed Realtor since 1999, and most enjoyed working as the Senior Project Manager for his family’s businesses.
It is Scott’s sincere pleasure to return to his alma mater and serve Richard Bland College as Project Manager.
